Your story is ready to be written. Let’s write it together.
A writing coach does not write your book for you. They walk beside you while you write it yourself, and that changes everything.

Here Is What We Know After Nearly a Decade of This Work
We have sat across from hundreds of authors, in person and on Zoom, listening to people say the same things.
“I know I have a story to tell. I just don’t know how to start.”
“I’ve been working on this for three years and I can’t seem to finish it.”
“Every time I sit down to write, I freeze.”
We hear you. And we want you to know something: that struggle is not a sign that you cannot do this. It is a sign that you need the right support. That is what a writing coach is for.
What Is a Writing Coach?
A writing coach is a skilled guide who helps writers develop their craft, move through the creative process, and finish what they started. Unlike an editor, who works on a manuscript that is already done, a writing coach works alongside you while you are still writing.
Think of it this way. An editor reads what you have written. A writing coach helps you figure out what to write next.
Let Us Help You Write Your Book
Your book is waiting to be written. You have got this. And we have got you.
A writing coach does not put words on the page for you.
They help you become the writer who can.
We have spent nearly a decade coaching authors through memoirs, business books, personal essays, novels, and teaching books. We have seen first-time authors go from a blinking cursor to a finished manuscript. We have also ghostwritten over a dozen books for people who had powerful stories and needed a skilled writer to help them tell it. We know what it takes. And we know you have what it takes too.
A writing coach is your teacher when you need craft guidance, your accountability partner when life gets in the way, your sounding board when you are not sure what the story is really about, and your honest voice when something is not working. The balance shifts depending on what you need, and a good coach knows the difference.
You Do Not Have to Do This Alone
How Is a Writing Coach Different from Other Writing Professionals?
A Writing Coach
Works with you during the writing process. Helps you develop, draft, and revise. Gets you to a finished manuscript. This is process-focused work.
An Editor
Works on a manuscript that is already written. Improves what is already on the page. This is product-focused work.
A Ghostwriter
Writes the book for you. Your ideas, your story, their words. Your name on the cover. This is a different service entirely, and we offer that too.
Do You Need a Writing Coach?
Not every writer does. But if any of the following sounds like you, the answer might be yes.
The writers who benefit most from coaching are not the ones who lack talent. They are the ones who have something real to say and need a clear-eyed partner to help them say it on the page.
You might benefit from a writing coach if you have started your book multiple times but cannot seem to finish it, if you know your story is important but cannot figure out how to structure it, if writing feels lonely and you want someone in your corner, if you need accountability to keep moving, if you are writing something vulnerable like a memoir or a deeply personal essay and you want a trusted reader, or if you are a first-time author who simply does not yet know what you do not know.
You probably do not need a writing coach if your manuscript is complete and you are ready for editing, if you write consistently without outside support, or if what you really need is someone to write the book for you. That last one is ghostwriting, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. We can help with that too.
What Does Working With a Writing Coach Actually Look Like?
Every coaching relationship is different because every author is different. But here is what you can typically expect when you work with Two Sisters.
The Discovery Call
We start with a conversation. No cost, no commitment, and no sales pitch. We want to hear about your project, your goals, and what has been getting in the way. You get to decide if we are the right fit. Good coaching is built on trust, and trust starts with an honest conversation.
Project Assessment and Goal Setting
Once we begin, we look at where your manuscript is, what it needs, and where it is going. We set concrete goals together: a realistic word count target, a timeline, structural decisions that give you a clear path forward. You should always know what you are writing toward.
Regular Coaching Sessions
We meet weekly or biweekly by video call, typically for 60 to 90 minutes. We review what you have written, troubleshoot what is not working, celebrate what is, and map out what comes next. Between sessions, you write. That is the deal.
Written Feedback on Your Pages
Most coaching packages include written feedback on chapters or sections you submit between calls. This is not editing. It is directional feedback. We are asking: does this scene do what it needs to do? Is this argument building the way you intend? Is the voice consistent? This kind of guidance is often what turns a scattered draft into something that holds together.
Craft Guidance Made for Your Project
Coaching is not one-size-fits-all. If you are writing memoir, we focus on how to shape lived experience into narrative that moves people. If you are writing a business book, we work on structure, authority, and voice. Your project determines what we work on. We have been doing this long enough to know the difference.
Accountability That Actually Works
One of the most powerful things about having a writing coach is simply this: someone is waiting for your pages. That knowledge, the understanding that a thoughtful reader is expecting your work, is often the difference between a manuscript that sits in a drawer and one that gets finished.

Writing Coach Frequently Asked Questions
How is a writing coach different from a writing class or workshop?
A class teaches writing principles to a group of people who all have different projects. A workshop gives peer feedback on finished pages. A writing coach works one-on-one with you on your specific manuscript, in real time, for as long as it takes to get it done. A coach meets you where you are, adapts to what you need, and walks beside you until you finish. That is not something a class or workshop can do.
What kinds of books do you coach?
Memoir, personal essay, narrative nonfiction, business books, self-help, and literary fiction. We specialize in stories that uplift, challenge, and improve the human condition. We are selective, which means we do not work with every project that comes our way. But when we say yes, we mean it fully.
Do I need to have something written before we start?
Not at all. Some of our most powerful coaching relationships start with nothing but an idea and a story that will not let someone go. Others begin when a writer has a partial draft and has lost their way. We meet you wherever you are.
How long does coaching typically last?
It depends on you and your project. Some authors finish a first draft in three months. Others work with us for a year or more through multiple drafts. Most clients engage for at least three to six months to build real momentum. We do not lock you into long-term contracts.
Will my coach write anything for me?
No. Your book needs to be in your voice, and we protect that fiercely. Every word on the page is yours. If you need someone to write the book for you, what you are looking for is a ghostwriter. We offer that too, and we are happy to help you figure out which one fits your situation.
How much does writing coaching cost?
Rates vary by format and scope. We are happy to talk through what makes sense for your project and your budget on a discovery call, with no obligation to move forward.
